    cruise control light/dash indicator?

I took my 95 coupe in to a shop to investigate the problem indicated by a recent airbag light indicator. While there, I mentioned the clutch pedal squeaked on engagement. Mechanic said he lubed some clutch assembly part, which seems to have fixed the problem. Also said he didn't have the diagnostic tool to check into the airbag light indicator.

Driving home, actuated cruise control, which works fine, but there's no light to indicate cruise is on. I'm pretty sure there was a green cruise control indicator light on my dash that came on before the repair. But I see some threads saying there isn't such an indicator light. I am almost certain there was a green cruise light before. So I'm confused, and wondering if my memory is faulty. Did I make this up? Is there a cruise light indicator on cruise control equipped e36 m3s? Not a huge deal, since the cruise control works, but I'd like to have all dash lights working, if I have them.

I figured the shop must have inadvertently goofed up a cruise control switch tied to the clutch assembly?

I've had 3 E36 and none of them had a cruise control light indicator, I believe only the Fog Light Indicators shows green besides the turn signals on the cluster.

As far as I can tell, there's no light.

Well, OK, then... my memory is playing tricks on me. I could have sworn there was a cruise control light-- green, round, notched (like a clock face), with a line at the 10 oclock position.

Oh well, hardly a concern since the cruise works perfectly, so. Thanks.

It's a common design used by a lot of companies. I'm sure you've seen it in other cars and maybe just remembering those...

There is no cruise light on the E36. These are the only green indicators on the cluster.

Thanks, you all. A nice reminder to myself that I don't always know what time it is. It's good to be humbled every now and again.

Perhaps you saw this thread (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=529756) with a video of a retrofit toward the end?
