Is there a way to bootmode flash the original full bin to it? Similar to how you put the ms43 in boot mode, by grounding a pin on the board?

    Hi Ray,

Unfortunatelly no but I can give you the contact of someone who sells bdm tool for mss50/mss50.1 to recover your ecu. You will have to open your ecu to use it.

Thank you so much for this! How is this done? Custom code that puts a write routine in RAM and then rewrites the ECU completely?

    Bootloader update MSS50 & MSS50.1 via OBD

    Hi,

I develop a new MSS50.1 program and a Python script to update the bootloader (31801) into a MSS50 bootloader (31800) via OBD. It can be written with Chipster (.bin) or WinKFP (.0pa).

Don’t know yet what I will do with them. The program is finished and released but the script is just a prototype.

PS : an hardware modification has to be done for this to work. YulCmr explains this modification here : https://github.com/YulCmr/MSS54_HP_C.../BDM_mss50.mkd
