    DCT Service recommendation

hi - i just purchased an e93 M3 that was owned by an older gentlemen and never tracked. He was the 2nd owner and owned it for 10 years and 100k miles. It a 2013 and has 123k miles on it and dont think he ever did the DCT service on the transmission.

I was planning on doing it but need some advice on whether I should just do a drain and refill and change the pressure filter or do the whole service where I drop the trans pan and replace the pan and filter inside it. I dont plan on tracking the car but do want to ensure longevity on the DCT trans. What do you guys recommend? Anyone do the full service and think it's overkill?

What is overkill anymore when it comes to fluids, maintenance and service? Changing the fluid more often than not has no real downsides other than to your wallet.

IMO if you are comfortable with the work I'd do it "all."

Consider inspecting and replacing the sucking jet pump as well 28107842838

Also if you have a leak down the passenger side its likely the wiring harness seal through the housing, which CAN be replaced with the trans in the car but its much easier with it out. 28607849555

Flushing all fluids is a very common first thing to do when you buy a used car with mileage - unless you have documentation something was done fairly recently.

For DCT, look at much more affordable DCT ffl4 fluids from compains like motul, redline, valvoline etc versus the factory stuff - the DCT takes a quite a bit.
