What to do "while in there" for a starter replacement?

Planning to replace my starter, which requires pulling everything off the top of the engine down to one of the throttle actuators. More than enough to get me thinking about other things to do in there, but everything I can think of has been done recently enough and/or seems okay as of now:

    - Valve cover gaskets
    - Spark plugs
    - Water pump, thermostat, etc.
    - Belts & tensioners
    - Air filter
    - Crankcase breathers / oil separators

Thinking of taking a crack at that check valve at the back of the block that drains rogue oil from the intake tract into the crankcase, as well as the hose that runs to it from the plenum.

    Any other ideas/recommendations?
