Hi, i bricked my 2010 e9x m3 mss60 ecu with kessv2, so i bought new dme from 2008 car and it needs update with winkpf to use ecuworx binary editor, but i have simple not cheap but unknown source dcan cable, i read from here that if i even update and change vin it with winkpf it will be bricked again, so what options do i have? do i need new cable and is it neccecary to unlock it first before updating it? or what procedures are required? before i brick it again.
I ordered ecuworx m3/m5 cable just in case.
