Write DCT directly into the ECU

Hello all,

is it possible to write the gearbox which is used directly into the ECU? The backround is that the information that a DCT is installed comes from the CAS.

If I have not installed a CAS, I should write the information directly in the ECU.

I hope someone can help me.

I believe ECU is self detecting if SMG or DKG is installed by CAN messages.

Yes this is correct. The information which gearbox is used comes from the CAS. But I don't have the CAS anymore.

I suspect you need to send these messages with an evaluation board on your own. STM32 Nucleo or Arduino with CAN shield.
Maybe there is a calibration parameter or codeword to force it, But I am unsure.
