after intervention on my MSS65 the DME is broken. I just bought a DME from ebay With CAS and KEY the car won't start. do I have to make any adaptations?

You have a M5 right? Because MSS65 is for M5/6 and Mss60 for M3.
try read fault codes, maybe you need to align ews rollcode via Inpa. Maybe you have wrong Software on it for you car (look up the dme with vin decoder, a possible reason for no start could be your car ist 6MT and donor SMGIII or visa versa)…under construction. -

Maybe isnt a "true" set from one car or maybe something broken.
If you got a good read from your old unit you can use BDM to clone, yes.
