After the big crash of May 2019 and the four month long repair job I got the car back and have been chasing an ambient temperature reading in the cluster of 122 deg F. Constant, never changes. Local race shop says the problem is the cluster. They first checked the temp sensor, read wires with no luck, but apparently swapped in a cluster from another vehicle and temp value is normal.
I have sent the cluster to Automotive Circuit Solutions, twice, and the cluster still shows 122. This last time I even sent the temp sensor with the cluster to aid troubleshooting. They are super fast at turning things around but I have received no explanation of what was found or attempted.
Using Schwaben scan tool I get “ambient temp from cluster implausible”.
Any ideas?
