Just switched from 886 to 884 and definitely prefer the 884.

Between the two, I'd take E60M knob any day.

25117896884 is best trust me! (weighs a feather more than zhp)

...886 (ZHP) is too short, not shaped right, and the metal ring at the bottom is out of place.

I like how the 884 knob feels more than the ZHP knob with my AS shifter. ZHP knob made it a bit too notchy.

That makes sense, I put the stock knob on and definitely felt more of the shifter.
I'm either going with the ZHP or the E60 M knob which is just a tad heavier and taller. Going for a stock look and just want to try something new.

Anyone used both ZHP & E60 M knob have a preference?

    ZHP

    E60 M

I know this has likely been beaten to death but if I get a ZHP knob do I need another boot or is it simply pull current knob off and push ZHP knob on? I see that most instructions require the use of a new boot but if possible I'd like to use my current boot.

Edit: I think I just answered my own question, my current aftermarket knob does not have a set screw, pulled straight off without incident.

Current knob feels like it weighs at least 12-16oz whereas the ZHP is 5.4oz, wonder if that weight reduction may be a negative.

I would agree except this does not have the female threads present that the one linked in post #4 has, it is solid on top and uses a set screw to secure.

I want to replace it with the ZHP if possible and if the AS kit works with the ZHP it sounds like I'm good to go.

jokes aside, it looks like brushed aluminum. Likely a custom knob.
