    Yep, almost certainly pad deposits.

    Easiest way to clean them off is put some track pads on for a couple of days, run at street temps (cold).

    Then go back to street pads, as they'll eat your rotors very quickly if run cold for an extended period.

    Stoptech "sport" pads? Those things are the most deposit prone pads I've ever run. I got deposits on my hard driven M5, and my mom got deposits, on her 65 year old driven e46 awd automatic wagon.

    Rotor warping pretty much never happens.

    ^ This is accurate. I would suspect pad smearing is what happened. 100 grit sand paper will do wonders for clearing some of that off.
