To each their own. It's not like they tore down a McLaren F1 to build it...
looks like there was a good reason, otherwise, it would be silly when donor vehicles aren't difficult to find.

... any chance you could post the PDF of the document up? I actually also went digging for it, but couldn't find it in my archive.
Well thanks. And yeah sorry that’s why it took me so long to find. My graph from the old pdf didn’t save correctly because of Google translate and link is now broken. Having this was the best as I had searching my computer. Sorry.

Yeah and just to touch back on your earlier “significant” torsional rigidity example between the convertible and non-M coupe: 10,500-12,500 that is 2,000nm/°. But it’s also 19% difference of their less starting torsional rigidity.
    Coupe 12,500 to Wagon 14,000 is only 1,500nm/° which is a 12% difference. 12%-19% is a 58% spread.
So comparing non-M Coupe to Convertible at 19% as an equal example of Non-M Coupe to Wagon 12% is again not really a like for like feeling difference.
Either way this is an M3 forum and doubt anyone here would include a non-M coupe chassis in a real conversation about best chassis for an M3 type conversion.

Fair enough... on the other hand an F1 powerplant being used in the wild vs sitting in some collectors showroom that he only goes into a handful of days a year is arguably a better use of the engine.

How about an S85 touring, similar vroom vroom noises.

I could not agree with this more. My very personal feelings on Facegram and the like (no pun) are 100% aligned with yours.

I'm gonna go like your post tho. 😂

I see others at least “Liked” it yet nothing from you about it. Thought bringing this to light would get at least a response. Maybe even some kudos lol.
Lol, thank you for digging that up!

When I came back and checked the thread, the image wasn't loading. Then I went on a 4 day, 1200 mile road trip, so didn't really check the forum.

Oh for sure not, on either count.

Got it! See I misinterpreted you, ha!

Yes they do (people spend ungodly money) and I agree with you.
