With just typical catless headers/tune, the eventuri gains like 10hp and airbox does like 15. But it's when you continue to open things up (2.5"exh, cams, even port/polish, bigger injectors, oversize TBs) that the CSL airbox will allow more and more gains.

I'm still unsure how the Eventuri even makes power over stock. You're still limited to the 3.5" HFM. Maybe the bowl and filter cone design is a little more efficient, but obviously nothing like the CSL airbox.

That is data based, not opinion based. but looking forward to more data that proves or disproves this. And that is on a cammed car.

BTW I have a CSL Karb Intake, and will have the MAF based one too. I will be able to tell for myself. so I have no horse in this race, in fact I have one of each so which is best does not matter to me LOL

MAP is not superior to MAF, but MAF won't work with the size of the opening of the CSL airbox. The MAF version, in order to work with MAF, will neck down to the same 3.5" (I assume) opening as stock thus limiting the gain in power from extra air (plus fuel). Might get some decent noise, esp paired with an Eventuri.

My argument is that none of that will pass the visual smog test, so why even bother? I guess the tuning side is easier, but it's not that hard to flash between stock and CSL tune (if you already have an HP ecu).

Non HP ecus (pre-facelift) could just use an alpha N tune and swap back and forth easily. Just restoring the flash counter is the only extra step ($60 mssflasher lic).

Your point re: visual test failure is spot on. Although I think you might be able to get away with just the plenum (no sticker would help), the Eventuri is an obvious fail.

For those with an HP ecu, does the CSL tune idle and run without issue? My carbed 911 is the only car in my garage that is allowed to stumble at idle and/or run slightly off.

MAP is not superior to MAF, but MAF won't work with the size of the opening of the CSL airbox. Was getting fomo with everyone getting their new boxes so I finally ordered. Probably won't see it until next year now.

Opted to try the non race box and I'll order a haimus snorkel on it's own and see if they fit together.

I am thinking of doing the same, Karbonius box, Haimus snorkel. Let me know if it works!

I ordered by Karbonius race box 8/10/2022. Just received it today, 10/18/2022. I didn’t pay any duty fees, I live in California. Box was shipped via DHL.
