This is going in ASAP! I did get charged $59 in import duties. Work of art as usual for Karbonius. My 2018 box and OE flap will be for sale shortly for a good price.

True, if I can find someone in the Bay Area with a Haimus snorkel I can give it a shot and let you know. Unfortunately, everyone I know with CSL airboxes has Karb ones.Originally posted by Thoglan View Post
For sure. Will post back if/when I end up going that route. The haimus snorkel is 180eur + shipping compared to the karb which is 500eur and like you say much more OE looking and I much prefer it visually. Expensive gamble if it doesn't fit though since I'll have to order a karb one separately and pay shipping twice...

Hmm, yeah you're right! Gives me hope that the Haimus snorkel might fit the Karb box.
I also want to get rid of my Karb snorkel in favor of something that looks more like the OE piece. I even considered plastidipping the Karb snorkel, but I suck at painting things and I really didn't want to ruin it.
Let me know how it goes! If it works out I'll probably swap my current snorkel out for the Haimus one.

Good catch, I might have to reconsider in that case. I did message haimus and they claimed they have had customers use their snorkel on a karb before but couldn't guarantee anything.
Edit: Looking a bit closer I think the reason the haimus does not support the OEM snorkel is because it lacks the cutout on the unfiltered section for the OEM flap mechanism. So just because the haimus does not support the OEM snorkel and the karb does, does not necessarily mean the haimus snorkel doesn't fit the karb if that makes sense. I could easily be wrong though.
Also mentioned here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXwXrgi5g_w&t=238s
He also mentions that the early haimus boxes did have that cutout meaning they are likely the same dimension flange as karb since they originally fit the OEM snorkel. I think the actual flanges are close enough that I could make it fit and they are just two flat face pieces so the holes can be resized to fit as long as it's close. There will still be that small half circle gap between the snorkel and unfiltered section since the haimus snorkel is flat face mounted and doesn't have the same lip as the OEM/karb but I'm willing to live with that or find something to plug the hole.

I think the flanges are different so they won't bolt up to each other. Karb is the same as the OE CSL flap, but Haimus is different:

No idea whether the two pieces actually fit each other but hopefully I can make it work, I'll report back whether they fit or not once I do that. Long shot but has anyone done this already?.
- Haimus Racing snorkel has shape improvements to create less disruptions in laminar flow allowing smoother air feed into the engine from the OEM counterpart. The OEM snorkel (PN: 11617833498) DOES NOT fit the Haimus Racing Airbox.
The Haimus Racing E46 M3 Pre-preg carbon plenum is the class-leading performance plenum on the market. Through careful CFD analysis and pulse tuning work, we have modified the intake runner length and shape, as well as the internal volume resulting in massive proven horsepower gains over our competitors. Undecided between going matte or gloss carbon though, that decision is largely what's holding up placing my order.

The total was in duty fees was $125.19 for the whole shipment which consisted of airbox, snokel, and carbon roof. So around 2.5-3%.Originally posted by maupineda View Postfees, as in how much relative to the goods price, 10% - 15%, etc.

I am not doing this back and fourth again with your pedantic graphic novel posts. I am going to respond one final time to you.
First off, my original post was to another member, not you, which contained all true and genuine statements. Offering my condolences for a post by another member, is not wrong. Expressing my opinion that I would never do business with you, is not wrong.
Have some sense of decency and leave other members out of this conversation.
Just leave me out of it, period.
The fact is that you call it my BS, I call it my experience dealing with you. If you can’t handle that, that’s not my problem.
Direct that towards Turner & Supersprint.
All that I have ever said and will continue to say is the truth about my experience with you, which was terrible. This is a public forum where members should be free to post their thoughts and experiences. If they don’t align with your thoughts and feelings then I don’t know what to tell you.
They don't align with the facts. There's nothing pedantic about correcting lies you spread to harm my reputation.
You say that it’s a grudge but it’s really not. It’s simply a bad experience with you and me sharing that experience with others. The problem is, that makes you butthurt since I share my negative experience and my thoughts of you with others. Sorry, that won’t change. This what happens when a customer has a bad experience with a business. This is no different than what any other business deals with.
If you're still talking about it irrationally a year later, it's by definition a grudge: a persistent feeling of ill will or resentment resulting from a past insult or injury.
I saw somewhere that you received a dented muffler. That’s supposed to make everything better? Don’t even begin to compare your situation to mine. You have a dent in your canister and another dent in one of your tips. Your issues are purely cosmetic. I can not bolt my muffler to my section 2 since the flange is damaged. My damage affects the function and use of the muffler. You can actually use your muffler, I can not. Don’t try to spin things as poetic irony.
Flanges and bent piping can easily be fixed. Find a competent local muffler shop and send Turner the bill. I'll still happily negotiate that for you if send me an email.
Don’t worry, life goes on. I am sure that you will continue to make more sales and I will go on to buy more items elsewhere. It sucks that we reached this point but I guess that’s life.
I am tried at this point of having to respond to you. Go ahead and write another pedantic post, we all know it’s coming. In the end, nothing will change, no matter what either one of us say.
My graphic novel mind can only come up with this for you, google the cut off punchline
Thank you for the lessons.
Enjoy.Last edited by Epoustouflant; 10-13-2022, 11:39 AM.

How much was it if I May ask. I will order a MAF version when available from KarbOriginally posted by bmw m3 s50 View PostSorry guys, back to the original thread:
I received my Karbonius CSL airbox yesterday without any damage or issues. It’s refreshing to finally pay for an item then receive an item without any damage or issues. I had to pay duty tax on both items that I received. I believe that you pay duty tax when the declared value exceeds a certain amount. I can’t remember the amount right now.

It much rather feel like you need some form of emotional closure as you still hold a grudge for events that happened a year ago. I thought I provided that to you here.
RE: Your SS experience
You can state you had a bad experience with Turner/ECS on a GB I coordinated. That wouldn't be wrong and its useful feedback that I have carried into other GBs.
I would answer the same things I did in the past here.
In short, your expectations were wrong, ironically Tyler also thought you had wrong expectations back then.
Lessons were learned: damaged products are replaced in priority from stock over pending orders because only deposits were taken and not full payments. I have more control over MPower's decision making than Turner's. Expectations are better set and people understand.
Didn't you know I also received a dented rear section? You can't even see the poetic irony even as you scour the forum for my stumbles.
If you expect people you are condescending, disregard the facts and proceed to insult to help you, you need to get on with the times.
RE: Tyler's experience with Karbonius x EuroConnex
To be clear, the experience Tyler related in his post appears to me like confusion on charges that were on his invoice. I didn't get the time to clear it up and he found a hack. Good for him! You attributed intentions to screw him over: that's the part you interpreted.
I came into this thread seeing Tyler's OP about delays because I care for his experience, and Karbonius' reputation.
It isn't Tyler's responsibility to follow up on your derogatory posts. My credibility is at the core of my business - responding to false accusations is my responsibility.
You shouldn't get surprised you get told about your BS. Denying my right to call out your irrational dislike of me just speaks to your motive and the condescending rhetorics you use to make your case about my "energy".
People that try new things fail - more at 11'! Worry about things you can control.
Enjoy,
Matt
