If the steering is too light, wouldn't you want a lower pressure pump?

Reading it over it sounds like the rack can't displace enough fluid so it is causing an overpressure - seals blowing out and really light steering. The pump is a positive displacement vane pump so it will pump at the pressure that is regulated by the pressure relief and it doesn't care how much pressure the rack needs unlilke a centrifugal pump. For example, if the pump relief is 1500psi but the rack only needs 1000 psi...the rack is going to get 1500psi. Getting a heavier duty 1500psi pump will cause the same issue. Sounds like it needs a lower pressure pump.

Wert 2 is for the non-m which has a ~3% quicker on center ratio than the M3 CSL. This is why it doesn’t show up in the M3s. My knuckle is ~6% quicker than the CSL so I’ll be programming in that non-m value. So it’ll be off by ~3% still.

I did the reverse a few years back, programming M3 ratio into my non-m MK60 so I’m assuming this should work just fine.

I'm curious to know whether anyone has actually tried programming LENKWINKELKENNLINIE_2 with the value underlying "wert_02" (I think it's 0x01 from memory?) as a custom parameter to an M3 MK60 with NCS? I've believe wert_02 would give a slightly faster ratio than the wert_04 (CSL). I know someone on M3Cutters figured out that wert_02 would be better, but when they looked in NCS it wasn't presented as an option so they gave up. My hypothesis is that it's possible the actual curve associated with that config value is still there, it's just not exposed for M3 VOs.

The three times I went inspecting what the hell was going on. But the steering was like an F30 not in sport mode. Just no weight at all. It's pretty intense if you do anything remotely quick under 40 mph. Any aggressive driving in 2nd will require DSC stage 1 to be off

You can re-center the steering wheel with INPA?

    How does it do that?

I better keep it brand new and sell to someone who would use it for track. oh boy simple question went into this lol. Maybe just do a yellow tag or green tag which ever I could find.

I’ve actually been thinking to manufacture and produce something closer to 2.7 turns, might not be bad to rip it open and engineer this a bit.

I was fine with the original steering rack, it was leaking the only reason I am changing. I can go yellow or purple tag but they are hard to find. Car is on jack and now I am in dilemma lol.

    - some have experienced a low-speed judder. This was mild enough in my car for me not to care, but others stated it made the car unpleasant to drive at low speed. Apparently if you email them that you have this symptom, they'll send you a custom hose.
    - mine blew both its seals and made itself a fancy ornament after about 3,000 calm miles with fresh fluid. Immensely disappointing, irrespective of how nice it is to be on a first name basis with my alignment shop.
that is no fun, maybe strictly a track car use then. 🙁🤔
