Update on OE CSL Wheels GB from M3F???

As of this moment, I feel confident we will still be receiving our order. I asked Sean about the 8.5” fronts that are rumored to no longer being produced and this was his response:

The rumour about the front 8.5” being NLA started from a reseller in Germany and then confirmed by other dealerships that does not know how to access the internal order system at BMW AG (not all dealerships can access this). This was then relayed on Instagram by a few people and it soon became “fact”.

I have personally seen the order and scheduled delivery dates for the front 8.5” CSL rim - they are NOT NLA period. But very delayed. The supply date just keeps getting pushed back but it will be restocked eventually.

There was also a whole large batch that was rejected due to paint issues earlier this year hence the eventually running out of stock scenario - that and some greedy retailer decided to buy up what was left of the stock.

Im with you can’t rely on a source that bought the remaining wheels since they obviously need to get rid of the investment they just made.

Seans the only reason why I haven’t asked for a refund. The discount is too good. 1760 to your door.

Too good of a deal and one of my all-time favorite wheels.

I also have sent Sean this forum link and he plans to hop on here as well. Definitely thankful for him stepping up.

”I have had that question asked a lot recently. I am not sure where that is coming from but it hasn’t been said to us at all.

I have a few people currently working on this with me to try and get some solid info this week. Once I get some better updates/info I will be sure to forward it along.

I got my refund from Paypal over the weekend. I don't mind waiting but to me the potential risk of losing the money wasn't worth it.

I know Turner has the money and I did confirm that with Sean.

I think for me all it would have taken was an update or at least a response to the many emails I sent him. If they do end up still producing the wheel I will just buy them full price once they come in.

Turner has clearly stated that they have collected all the money from Leighton. They have the list of buyers and shipping address of each person who has paid. Leighton doesn’t have the money. Your point about these wheels going up in value because of demand is the exact reason why I would rather wait for them. Waiting in the wheel business isn’t as outrageous as it sounds. I’ve waited 10 months in the past for Work wheels from Japan. It’s been 6 calendar months and 3-4 of those months the factory has been closed in Germany so I think we all need to look at the big picture.These are worth the wait.

This would be my outlook and probably is for most. Leighton being more involved isn’t getting anyone their wheels quicker. I do understand the frustration.

1. Can't trust people who literally believe in SMG. I remember him and I getting into tiffs over that, dude takes things way too seriously.
2. He set up Streamline. Need I say more.
3. Every set of ZCPs and CSL's are about to go up in value due to demand.

This is sad to see, but there are a lot of outliers playing parts in ya'll not getting ya'lls parts. I agree as a person in sales, communication is key and he's dropped the ball off the planet here. I'm sure there is a large sum of money in an account somewhere so I hope everyone get's their money back. If you paid friends and family, I am sorry.

I know. I actually bought one of his SMG relocation kits and it was really good although the other guy did all the work. Too bad this whole thing went down the way it did.

Update: I text his phone and left him a voicemail via the number on his resume. It’s an iPhone but he didn’t respond.

Leighton’s actions are completely inexcusable in my opinion. It takes 2 minutes to update an email list with a simple “sorry guys, no new news at the moment! Hang in there, we all want the same thing”. He took on the responsibility when he organized the group. I find it ridiculous that I had to track down Sean at Turner to achieve any updates. Not for the efforts of doing so but that I have to waste someone else’s time. I have reached out to Leighton via his two emails, IG, and PayPal without a single response. This whole transition feels completely slimy. / rant.
