Hi all,
Previous owner had replaced the trunk lock with an aftermarket backup camera. I would like to convert this back to a lock that is used with the original diamond key fobs.

My understanding is that this is the part needed, with code.
My question is after I get this part from the dealer, how do the various connection rods and cables hookup to make this work. It also looks like the cylinder itself has an electrical connector, I'm guessing the trunk wire loom should have a connector that plugs into this? Anyone have a basic overview to help me understand how this works?
Is it just this plastic rod between the actuator and cylinder? https://youtu.be/2z_TdblrJGY
Isn't there some sort of emergency cable as well?
