M3 Stablemates: What else do you have in the garage?

3K miles, manual, buckets, CCB, FAL, extended leather, Sharkwerks bypass and a rollbar otherwise stock, CPO warranty for the next 2 years. Thought I got a good deal in this market because "it's been tracked". I picked it up last week in person and am now waiting for it to get shipped cross country.

Ain't the driving comment the truth. My S2K often sits for 1-2 months undriven yet many of us myself included still buy more cars. Driving is the core that makes me happy the cars just add variety to the experience. Our friend group has started dedicating two away driving trips a year because all of us are so busy that it's hard to fit driving in the daily/weekly/monthly routine. Those trips have become something we all look forward to.

Absolutely stunning car, I don't think I could've spec'd it better myself - enjoy it in good health! Can't wait to hear some impressions once you've been able to put a few thousand miles on it. Not sure what side of the country you're on, but we have a pretty robust GT car group that I'm happy to add you to here in SoCal.

Congrats on the .2, would love to see some photos! I argued with the wife for GT3, but she demanded a bigger house first, thus going 718. In a few more years, it will be 3RS time . If I had the garage space (or time), I'd probably keep my 46 - but sadly, I have neither, and I feel guilty for it just wasting away in the garage. I think I've driven it 4 times in past 6 months!

After driving the 718 GT4, I wasn't sold, and it helped solidify my decision to get a 991.2 GT3 eventually. Congrats on your new GT3! Did you post pics? Manual or PDK?

The 4.0L in the 4RS/SRS / 1.2 GT3/RS / 992 GT3/RS are $100K+ experiences on their own. Every 2K RPM is a different character with the last 1.5K pull from 7.5K to 9K total insanity. Get one when you can.
I've been wanting to own a 991.2 GT3 ever since driving a friends in the mountains 4 years ago, finally bought one this past weekend.
Variety is the spice of life though the E46 holds its own and will still be seeing a good amt of mileage. For me the E46 is the quintessential do everything FR NA drivers car experience, and the S54 w CSL box is so, so special. it feels like a glove. Won't sell.
That said the current stable mate is a AP2 S2000 which is getting kicked out of the garage into the sideyard haha. I love that car, the purity of experience, and it keeps me honest, but it's already not getting much seat time...yet every time I think I'm going to sell it I drive it and immediately dismiss the idea.

They're all RWD NA manual drivers cars but each offers a totally different experience - I love them all.

There are some amazing cars in people's garages as shown in this thread. Mine is not as extensive as some but I'm okay with the cars occupying my garage.

Pictured here is my 2004 M3 which I have had 16 years now and plan to keep this car forever. It is arguably one of the best European cars I have ever owned and driven. This is the car I truly enjoy cruising in and it gets noticed every time I take it out where I currently live.

This is my 2008 Porsche 997 turbo, a car even better than my M3 that I have owned for 9 years now. This car, for me, is at a whole different level from my M3 and is pure pleasure to own and drive. Both of these cars are manual transmission and are so much fun to row through the gears!

For my daily I have added a 2017 John Cooper Works Mini to my garage and it is the only "paddle shifter" car that I acquired back in October. I never realized just how much fun this JCW is to drive and is so underrated that most people on the highway leave me alone. I love how small and compact this car is as well for parking.

Tracked it once, and first session of the day set a new PB at Big Willow. I then made the mistake of taking a friend's GT3RS (911.2) out, quickly followed by a 718 GT4, and then finally a GT4RS. Needless to say, there will be some stable changes in the near future. Once you go GT car, you may or may not want to drive your E46 anymore.

Funny. I've been considering reverting my E46 back to street-driven only as well (track it mostly). Mainly to preserve it and enjoy it for spirited drives and car trips. Have been eyeing GT4s as a potential next acquisition. Do you track your GT4 at all?

Yes! We had a 17 GTS and totally agree—they are great. Nice pickup!

Pro Tip: We did a PDK adaptation reset every 10k miles or so. It really helped prevent the car from short shifting and made an appreciable difference every time. The steps should be on Rennlist. Might be worth a look.

Recently swapped a daily F15 X5 50i with 100k miles for '21 Macan GTS CPO with 50k. Porsche put about $8k (dealer price) of work into to qualify for CPO and it came with full PPF and tint from previous owner. Best SUV I've ever driven. These are a fantastic value used.

It's my take on an extreme offroad buggy.
The sport is called "rockbouncing" and we like to send our shit up mountains and big rocks for bragging rights and adrenaline.

Built LS engine, TH400 trans, custom transfer case and axles, 16" of travel upfront, 25" in the rear, 43" tires etc

I built it from the ground up.

We made a change a few months ago. RR SVR out. G63 in.

Mercedes finally added proper active suspension to the G so it stays flat through corners. A refrigerator should not handle like this. Ladder and mud tires bc of course.
