Please drive irresponsibly quickly, assuming it feels smooth.
(since driveshaft speed is proportional to road speed, not engine speed).
not sure how viable it it for you, but Iβd really like to know its smooth to at least 150, and ideally 175 (indicated).

Shipping to and from Canada is ridiculously high especially to Bahrain.Originally posted by Altaran View PostFound a guy from Ontario on IG that has a pic with this mod done from February. Profile is @velart_motorsport
I don't know him, but if anyone here is looking for a good shop in North America to get this done, he might be worth reaching out to.
Mine now has 3500km on it and is still working fine. It survived a ring trackday, so full load is not an issue π

Any more updates from the ones that have installed this mod? I have my 7629 being shipped soon. Need to see what is the best way to go about installing it.

I wouldn't trust anyone in Houston. I think Driveshaft Specialists are in San Antonio, don't see why they couldn't handle it. Not sure if they can dynamically balance the shaft which is the reason why the shop that EthanolTurbo used which is apparently a spinoff of Powertrain Industries would be the best option.Originally posted by fattycharged View Post
Jae, know of any shops in Houston who could take on the most recently posted configuration by spool1?

I am running the heat shield. I had to bend it at certain sections to prevent contact, but it's easy to do when underneath and the car is out of gear. Just turn the wheels and listen if there is a grinding noise from heat shield contact.Originally posted by 1spool View Post
Yes that's correct, no heat shield.
Btw, I tracked my car on Monday, no issues with the CF shaft.

No rubbing, if you remove the heat shield.Originally posted by 1spool View Post
No rubbing.
Or you revisited your initial install and are now running the heat shield?
