I had this same fault pop up twice and I deleted and it and am observing if it comes back a third time, if it does I’m sure it might be the Map sensor on the OE CSL air rail as my dme has been converted to HP and running fine for years…. I’ll update here if it comes back and what I find….replacement for this map sensor won’t be fun…..finding the part 🤣

Yes, D3 1C is in the DME now - mine DME was a NON HP before..
Does anyone know what the difference would be from D3 1C to C2 F5 if i check the values with a diagnostic tool? And can i toast the DME if i try to change it?

I know, but he said he couldn't find the D31C but then said it had D31C originally.

I meant what he did was correct.

And if i check the ambient pressure with a diagnostic tool it is 995 (in cm) and does not change if i unplug the External MAP sensor - so i guess its the Internal MAP sensor showing?

So if that's the case, the code is correct in your tune file.

At this point I don't know what else to look at or think of unfortunately.

Actually it was not C2 5F before, i changed it for the screenshot 😀. But a little scared to write into DME not knowing if i screw things up?

for the internal map sensor issue, ECUWorx does not handle that nor can it see/edit that value. it needs to be checked/changed/confirmed with a HEX editor

on a CSL tune it is found here
    • Pressure scaling: at 0xC476 change "D3 1C" to "C2 5F"
      • MSS54s have a different barometric pressure sensor than HPs, this changes the sensor's scaling to have the CSL software work correctly with the non-HP sensor.

for a NON CSL HP tune file its differnt but looks like you have a CSL tune file so the above is what you need.

I have the BMW tools software from EcuWorx since before.
What HexEditor do i need? Or can i just read the DME with WinKFP and send it to anyone who can check it? I dont really feel comfortable to change and mess things up
Or someone can connect in Teamviewer and check it out?

The one thing i felt it should be ticked is the "Disable requirement for GPS after SMG to Manual conversion?
