What does this resonance sound like? I have a euro section 1, and SS Sport section 3. Doesn't seem like this would be applicable in this config?

Thanks, I will try to get the bend radius tighter, but the metal is currently parallel. It just looks strange at the angle of the photo. I think it did improve with gear changes and also seems to have removed some of the rasp from the exhaust. I have a new catless section 1 sitting in my garage so will chime back in when I have that installed to rule out the one I currently have.

I installed mine yesterday. It surely has changed the resonance at various rpms, but I seem to have more resonance at highway speed at 65-70mph. It may be my partially ill fitting catted section 1 being forced into a position, but it seems to be noise coming from the rear, which is a Dinan section 3.

No worries brother. i'll order the updated version. Which part is is the updated one? SSv1_Gearbox_Mount___Exh_Bracket.dxf or the SSv1_Gearbox_Mount___Trans_Bracket___v2.dxf

    Thanks

I’ve edited the original link with a description that it needs modification. I’ll update the link in that post to this one as soon as we have a confirmed fitment. Thanks for the patience guys.

Updated DXF files attached, will provide a new link to purchase a set of corrected brackets that *should* fit without modification. Note that I haven't actually made one with these dimensions yet, so I'd appreciate a beta test run from someone here!

Also, the H-pipe and resonator themselves are super effective bracing, so there’s not much extra to be had if you ask me.

edit: think of wiggling a piece of dry spaghetti. Wiggling it from the end produces a whip effect at the other end. Supporting it in the middle and wiggling both will substantially reduce the whipping. The further toward the end you support it, the incrementally smaller the gains will be. You basically want to keep it tight near the headers and support it as far back to the gearbox as possible. Everything after the gearbox moves independently so you have less of a chance to make a big impact.

Love the metaphor. Thanks for your input 🤝

Did you brace Section 2 anywhere? I have the twin-tube resonated Section 2, and it rattles quite a bit. I transferred the plate from the stock exhaust over, if that makes a difference. I assumed the hangers were worn out, so I replaced them with new ones, but I’m wondering if it’s worth bracing Section 2 also.
