Rod Bearing Replacement Cost (North East Ohio)

Rogue Engineering in NNJ did the entire job - parts and labor - for $999. I also had them put in new engine mounts, that was about $200 additional.

Price seems fine for the labor and parts you are getting, just like others have pointed out, you can get different cheaper parts that will save you some $$.

I just got a quote today for $3300 from a local shop to do rod bearings. They initially told me they would have to pull the motor. Needless to say that I'm still on the hunt for someone to do the job.

They weren't lying, when they screw up the rod bearings, they'll have to pull the motor and put in a new one @ $3300 labor cost.

Haven't been able to get through to Tom Hatem this morning, keeps going to an answering machine. I'll post back when I do but I did speak to MWorks Garage down in Cincy and they said around $1700 for rod bearings. This is their message: "It’s roughly $1700 with WPC treated bearings, BE Bearings are in back order until September. That includes all new gaskets, seals, LiquiMoly 10W-60 Race Tech oil, and engine mounts."

Unless Tom Hatem is around that, I'll probably have MWorks do my subframe and rod bearings in one stop to just knock it all out.

That's not too bad. It's a pretty miserable, and boring drive from Cleveland to Cincy... It'd probably end up costing me $200 in gas round trip, lol. Let me know if you ever hear back from Tom Hatem.

Got the same response from them. That's where I'm planning to go in a week or so.

I already asked about subframe. They don’t do welding but recommended a shop across the street. They said they recommend Autobody Specialists, 614-299-5551

If Tom Hatem isn't near to the price at your indy shop, I might drive up there for the savings alone. I already have OEM bearings on my shelf waiting for a reasonable quote.
