I think it meets my expectations aside from the minor decrease in low rpm volume I would have enjoyed which seem to be typical on typical csl style carbon boxes. But I am realizing it’s too pricey for what it is and I’d rather put the money into repainting my car.

Any comparison to other CF boxes in terms of induction note and volume?

Finally got car out of hibernation and installed my copy of the Eventuri Hybrid CF airbox. Put in a Radium oil catch can as well so install took a bit longer but all complete in a single day. Hardest part of install IMO was the air scoop from bumper into OEM air duct. Ended up removing OEM duct and modifying slightly so to accommodate Eventuri CF scoop.
Build quality and fitment of Eventuri part is top notch. All parts required for install included and photo heavy instructions came in handy as reference. Increased induction noise welcome and compliments my exhaust set up nicely.
Will have Hassan tune for new airbox later in the spring. My expectations are modest as Im not chasing HP number. Those days are behind me.
Thanks to all the NAM3 fam that contributed to this post.

I made a simple unboxing video — feel free to check it out on my Instagram for the full video and sound.

mode every time. So I’ll be chasing down what went wrong and then can get back here with nice photos and other more positive thoughts.

Did get a few mild rips in before EML light came on and the intake is pretty quiet compared to how I thought it would sound. I havn’t taken it over 5k yet so maybe that’s it. I have a Supersprint sport which is not a loud muffler but it’s about as even to the volume coming from the intake, rendering it hard to get an accurate read on total volume of noise from stock airbox. More to come and wish me luck in the search for EML issue!
I diagnosed a friend’s M3 when his EML / SES light came on after an airbox install - it was one of the throttle body clamps coming loose and getting in the way of the little spring-loaded gear that opens the butterflies on the rod… repositioned and tightened them all down and the lights went away.

Also, just my edit: if the EML light came on after a few rips, then it’s very likely one (or more) clamp(s) inhibited WOT with one (or more) of the throttle bodies and that’s what triggered the light.

Nice video. Definitely helps, unfortunately without a direct comparison. it's very hard to gauge. The mic next to the intake even on a K&N intake sound great.

I'm not sure if I saw this elsewhere or just happened in upon it on YT, but sounds decent. Does this sound louder than prior eventuri filter only intake? Am I craving more low notes like Karb CSL?

Why do I get a sense that the sound isn't what we were all hoping for. It's been more than 6 months that this thing has been announced. No real reviews or comparison's from cosumers, no updated videos from Eventuri.... It's been REAL quiet..

That's too bad. I've been really pushing to get this .

Would be very interested as well. Looks beautiful installed!

That's awesome! Thanks for the info.

Overall, driveability is as smooth as OEM which is a huge factor for me. I had the Karb csl style airbox previously installed and ultimately had to swap it back out because I never dialed it in right for city / low RPM driving.

From a sound perspective, the note is fuller than the intake alone. I would analogize it as 1) eventuri intake - trumpet; 2) hybrid airbox trombone; 3) karbonius csl style airbox tuba.

The Karb definitely has more bass resonance at lower rpm 3-4k / and wails equally as loud at 6-8k rpm with slightly lower tone. However, it always felt and sounded a bit gimmicky to me since I didn’t have the rest of the exhaust done.

The hybrid does a good job of giving a bit more fullness due to the carbon resonance while still feeling very OEM+. My guess is the Karb OEM box sounds similar. This package aesthetically looks more uniform and complete.

    Happy driving!

my experience with the Karb OE box is that it better replicates the CSL notes with the OE air filter box, at least on the Zed.

the Eventuri filter has its own sound quality, and is present even with the carbon manifold, the IG videos hide that, is a higher pitch sound v the deeper note that is the result of that massive opening.

i am still attracted to the idea the MAF setup, but love the CSL sound more lol.

hopefully someone local buys one for a side by side comparison.
