Did you need to code out airbag lights or disable the passenger airbag for the Z4m seats?Originally posted by LSB4Me View Post
Dude, so garbage. Great minds, indeed. The Z4M is the minimum acceptable oe seat, imo. The fact that it’s plug and play power (so my pup can easily hop in the back) with heat made the swap a no brainer.
Speaking of Kevin at ABS (good dude for sure), I have a new photo to offer bigjae46 . Rest assured, we’re all just getting teasers at the moment.

My guess is that the Sportsters are probably as low as the Z4Ms.Originally posted by Bry5on View Post
Any chance you took measurements of exactly how much lower the Z4M seats are vs the stock ones at the lowest setting? I'm still chasing a lower seat height and trying to map options! In recaro sportsters now.
However, when I got my seats, the seat bottom (base) cushion was busted through. The result was a significantly lower seating position. I later added the wire frame support to the underside of the seat, which restored a stock-like seating position. Still lower than the oe seats, but again, probably what you have now.
Z4M seats with a broken out bottom cushion might be what you’re after. Unorthodox, but much much lower.

Oh, I do have a nice (albeit, old) side by side of the Z4M seats vs standards. Had the Z seats reupholstered with Impuls Cloth to keep the spec correct. They are much better than the OG sofas.

The math says a ~5% body roll reduction for an otherwise stock M3Originally posted by bavarian3 View PostNeed more, better pics! Looks great though congrats.
-Notice any difference in driveability?
-Did they reuse the front and rear windhsield? How about the seals?

That was an “in progress” shot. The front section comes out.Originally posted by CrookedCommie View PostIn your other post it looked like they were able to cut off the roof and leave the metal sunroof frame in place, did they end up removing it and welded/bonded in a non sunroof crossmember?

good callOriginally posted by LSB4Me View Post
I bought a set of rear seats for $100 as donors. Nobody is making Impuls to my knowledge, so I had to go old school.

Great minds think alike, the stock seats are so garbage lol
Roof looks awesome, Kevin is a good dude. I will probably have them refresh the front end soon.

Wow, turned out great LSB4Me.
I'm still in the search of a non-sunroof headliner, but that's my last piece of the puzzle and I've passed by so many for sale over the last 5-6 years.
