Hi everyone,
I just ordered the Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander for my 2006 E46 M3 and wanted to hear from those of you who are currently running one. (or E85 period)
A little background on my setup:
A few questions:
My goal is to have the flexibility to run anything from 91 octane to E85 depending on availability, while keeping the car reliable since I plan to own it for a long time.
I'd love to hear your experiences, recommendations, and any lessons learned.
Thanks!
I just ordered the Advanced Fuel Dynamics ProFlex Commander for my 2006 E46 M3 and wanted to hear from those of you who are currently running one. (or E85 period)
A little background on my setup:
- 2006 E46 M3 (6MT)
- VF Engineering VF570 supercharger
- Bosch EV14 injectors (still trying to determine the size)
- Walbro 400 fuel pump
- Radium fuel system components
- HTE tune (not yet installed) Hassan said to do it after I get the E85 installed.
A few questions:
- How has the ProFlex Commander been working for you overall?
- Any installation tips or issues I should know about?
- What ethanol content do you typically run? E50? E70? Full E85?
- Have you noticed any cold-start issues at higher ethanol percentages?
- Are there any downsides or things you wish you knew before installing it?
- For the supercharged guys, how much of a difference did you notice in performance and drivability?
- What injector size and fuel pump setup are you running?
- Did you have to make any additional changes to your fuel system to comfortably support higher ethanol content?
My goal is to have the flexibility to run anything from 91 octane to E85 depending on availability, while keeping the car reliable since I plan to own it for a long time.
I'd love to hear your experiences, recommendations, and any lessons learned.
Thanks!
