So a little while back I got scammed out of a transmission by a guy named Bryan Lam out of L.A. He sold me an SMG transmission with no internals. He had stripped out the internals of the bell-housing and reassembled the trans. There was no way of me knowing this until I got home took it apart and saw everything missing. Well, it also turned out one of the ears for the trans mount broke off as well. That was totally my fault as I missed it when I was buying the transmission. Fast forward and I found someone selling a cheap transmission for parts which just happened to have a good rear case and more or less everything that was missing from the other bell-housing. When I reevaluated my original bell housing, I noticed one of the dowels has been somewhat damaged.
Does anyone know if I can still get the bell housing machined with the dowel in this state and if not can it be replaced? It looks like he used some type of cutter on it.
