Full disclosure, I bought this car last December when it was listed on Craigslist in SF/Bay Area. It was listed for $35K, and I was able to get it down for a bit below that.
While I don't regret buying it, my brain keeps telling me that I overpaid because I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.
What do you guys think, 64K miles, 1 owner, tasteful mods, a bit under $35K... was I a sucker?

Thank you for posting this link. I didn't think any of the motorsport bodies were still around. This would have been awesome if it were on sale 2 years ago when I was looking. I wish there were more pictures of it. Interesting that they were using the stock airbox and still put out a nice dyno number.Originally posted by Icecream View Post

My favorite... "all maintenance has been done on this car" riiiight...Originally posted by heinzboehmer View Post115 k mi, salvage title, destroyed exterior + shitty wrap, most body panels look misaligned, pretty beat leather, missing driver's side window switches (???), what looks like a deployed airbag in the rear, beat wheels, pre-facelift trunk on a supposed facelift car (???), description says convertible but it's clearly a coupe (???), listed for $13.5k lol.

Working on a 2006 1-owner ZCP, 6MT, AW/Black car. Has a sunroof unfortunately, but I can deal with that. Very low mileage car so I wanted to pursue it. COVID is just complicating logistics of things so we will see how it pans out.Originally posted by Maxima SE View Postwhat did you replace it with Duck?

Rare color and cinnamon seats but I don't see anything special in this color , I would even say I don't like it , maybe looks better in reality than on pictures ? I don't know.Originally posted by jonnypax09 View Posthere's one you don't see very often, found this on cargurus
for some reason when i add the url in here it grabs all the search results not the individual listing
Honestly I would never pay 25k for it , converted transmission, carfax isn't clean , coilovers were installed at 11k so they are shot , seller said well maintained but there is only info about brakes, spark plugs, belts and valve adjustment. I guess whole suspension and Cooling system need refresh, rod bearings should be replaced too. Personally it's worth 20k max for me .

Glad it's going to a good home. The guy loves his E46's and I can't fault him one bit for that. Should be pretty spectacular once he gets all the imperfections cleaned up on the car. Hope he holds onto it for awhile. That was my plan....but there's always another car that tends to pop up when I say I'm going to hold onto one for awhile. Ha!Originally posted by Inizes View PostHe also just bought Duck360198 ‘s car. IB slicktop with m-texture interior.
Out of every car I've owned (not just BMW...literally EVERY car I've ever owned), this IB/M-Texture stripper BY FAR had most interest than any of them. Had some great conversations with people about it.
