Since I am doing a Mk60 conversion...



For all of the Mk20 guys, you save 10.55 lbs in hardware by going to a better ABS system. 🙂

Megan racing headers: 14.4 lbs.
Mobility kit with Styrofoam holder: 8.6 lbs.
Arm rest: 4.8 lbs.
SPAL 2082 electric fan: 6.2 lbs.
Front suspension, stock - Bilstein b6 strut, spring, spring pads, bearing, mount, and bump stop (both sides): 30.6 lbs.
Rear suspension, stock - Bilstein b6 rear struts, springs, spring pads, mounts, and bump stops (both sides): 23.8 lbs.
Stock manual intake manifold with boots (no intake elbow or filter box): 8.4 lbs.
Turner CSL intake (bare, w/o boots and filter): 6.2 lbs.
Turner silicon intake boots and worm clamps: 1.2 lbs.

I just put my stock muffler up in the rafters of my garage. I really don’t want to pull it down to get the weight. I’ve heard it’s around 60 lbs.

Yeah, I didn't think the rest of the steel roof would weight that much. I had figured most of the weight was in the sunroof glass panel. BTW I was speaking of doing just a CF sunroof delete panel, that only replaces the sunroof and leaves the factory roof. Was not talking about doing a full CSL style CF roof conversion (too much money and effort to be worth it on my high mileage not-minty car)

Damn I thought the complete sunroof assembly including glass and cassette would be closer to 60+ lbs. Kinda disappointing the glass is only that much, thought for sure it'd be heavier as I was planning to do the CF sunroof delete in the near future. Guess its not really worth the effort then for only ~30lb reduction (though I know it has other benefits, since its at the highest COG).

I want to weigh my power/lumber/adjustable bolster front seats, but it will be without the bottom power sliders, so purely seat weight. Just don't have a scale big enough to put them on and they are waaayyy too bulky and heavy for me to hold that long to step on a scale ha.

Yeah I kept hearing 60-70lbs, which seemed ridiculous. I dont know if there is something different on non-m e46 to deem that inflated number more "true".

But even with sunroof motor, sun visors, dome lights, etc you dont net more than about 35-40lbs. Still, like you said, farthest from cg. Roof, from what I gathered, might be another ~10lbs, for more carbon $.

Alternative is to use the realoem site to look up individual part numbers where the output provides the weight in kg.

Rear seat cushion 13.5lbs
Both rear headrests (together not each) 2lbs
Both rear deck speakers (together not each) 4.5lbs
Both rear seat backs 34.5lbs (larger driver side 22.5lbs, smaller pass side 12lbs)
Fan clutch and plastic blades 4lbs
Cabin air filter housing with filter 6.5lbs
Fog lights (together) 2lbs
Trunk lid panel and tool kit 4lbs
Roof rack (with bike bar) 15lbs
2x trunk inside lights - negligible
Cabin air filter block plate on firewall 4lbs
Roof liner (hole for sunroof) 3.5lbs
Lights, pillars, sun visors, rubber seam for sunroof glass, oh shit handles, clothes hooks 8lbs
Sunroof glass 14lbs
Sunroof cassette 16.5lbs
Sound deadening rubber below rear seat cushion/over fuel pumps ~5lbs

Here's pictures of the scale with the rear seats. Weighed them both by carefully balancing them on the scale and by weighing myself plus the part. Weights fluctuated +-0.1 lbs between both methods.
