Aesthetic mods are subjective like any other mod IMO. Catless headers can be too raspy for some but rACeCAr for others. Or Coilovers can be too stiff for some and perfect for others. Everything can be subjective

-MCS 1WNR dampers with swift springs (flat ride rates)
-AKG shifter
-CPI stepped headers
-PFC 08 pads
-ZE40 Volks

Love/Hate:
-Schrick 288/280s (They seem to be the batch that was ground incorrectly so they have never been able to be timed completely right. Even still it makes great power and the power delivery rewards high rpm, which makes it driving it well very rewarding)

Hated:
-running no rear bar (since remedied)
-P/O used cheap paint on the CSL trunk, oxidized terribly
-cheap angel eyes
-Enkei NT03s, they look good but I have bent/cracked so many with regular track use

5 mods I love:
* Autosolution SSK - as good as everyone says! Huge improvement in feel.
* Z3 steering rack - Same as above. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
* ZHP shift knob - Love the look and feel vs. stock
* Bavsound Stage 1 audio upgrade - Should have done this a long time ago, definitely wakes up the whole system without massive subboxes or hacking into the dash with a new h/u
* Upgraded projectors + angel eyes - 2005 HIDs left something to be desired and count me among those who like the angel eye "look"



Mods I didn't like:
* Macht Schnell Elbow - not a bad part and easy to install, but probably not worth the $
* Cheap-o Ebay angel eyes - you get what you pay for! Less than 30 days in, they were flickering

5 Mods I Didn't Care Much For:
- Resonated section 1 (Missed the rasp)
- Any level of window tint (prefer OE look)
- Angel Eyes (liked them at first, now I'm on the fence)
- Removing sound deadening under rear seats
- Removing head shield over headers

Aesthetic mods shouldn't be mentioned in this thread since beauty is in the eye of the beholder (if people here haven't learned this, well....). I could care less about smoked corners, black vs chrome grills, angel eyes, orange vs clear, CSL vs stock US bumper, etc.

Aesthetic mods shouldn't be mentioned in this thread since beauty is in the eye of the beholder (if people here haven't learned this, well....). I could care less about smoked corners, black vs chrome grills, angel eyes, orange vs clear, CSL vs stock US bumper, etc.

Besides, in many cases the cars base color combo dictates whether or not "most" would think a certain exterior or interior mod looks good.

That's a good point if the rationale for inclusion is based solely on aesthetics. However, if appreciation/complaints regarding angel eyes and/or different branded CSL trunks are due to fitment or functionality then they deserve a spot on the love/hate list

Ex: Mile end composites diffuser making love list (perfect fit and finish), and xyz brand making the dislike list (terrible fit and finish)

Funny to see how many people put the 4.10 gears as either their favorite or least favorite mod. There really is no middle ground haha.

Yeah it's really preference. But you may notice on this forum it's people with another car that is made for cruising seem to be the ones who dislike it. Which one can understand that it's what's comparitive to each person. And so is the arguement that the ~13% change has somehow made first gear useless. 3.62 maxes out at 40 mph while the 4.10 is 35mph. I mean really, how fast do people really need to go in first? Or rather how long/shorter is truly useless. But I digress. It's all hashed out in several 4.10 Gear Threads.

Would you mind sharing photos of your bracket? I have been waiting since June 2020 for mlreng.com to ship my bracket.

So unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the bracket. However I have attached a couple images of how the smg unit looks in the drug bin. I ended up using angle iron (bent and welded) to mount to the two existing points in the drug bin.

Thanks for the link, that kit works great on 2003+ M3s..... I want to relocate the pump on my '02 and the ABS makes it a bit more challenging.
