    The pictures of my car at the start of this thread are from ~2010. I actually haven’t winter driven it since it stopped being my DD.

    ... though the M3 wagon does see winter use...

    I think the key is to not let crap sit on the surface for a long time. Also i always spray my undercarriage during a car wash. Its worked for me as i have zero rust anywhere as far as i could see. Not driving my m3 at all during the winter months is a no-go for me so this is a good compromise

    My car has over 100k more mileage than that so it's not as big of a deal lol. However, there is very minimal rust on my car so I'm limiting driving it as much as possible (the snow is making that easy as well).

    White covers up the massive amounts of salt sprayed on the car in Maryland a week ago. There were multiple times where it got all over the windshield and I couldn't see Immediately washed it once I got back home.
