The OEM CSL License Plate Lamp part listed above is incandescent. I thought folks were using the E90 LED lamps.

For anyone looking to do a swap over to an OEM CSL trunk, here is the list of parts I've compiled. Not all of them are required, but I personally will be buying all of them for mine.

CSL trunk lining is not required, but I believe the stock toolkit does not bolt onto the CSL trunk. Your options if you do not buy the CSL trunk lining is to mount the stock trunk lining with a hole where the toolkit was, or drill into the back of the CSL trunk to mount the toolkit.

I'm still a little confused on the wiring portion of this and the guide previously posted didn't go into too much detail. BMW used to make a plug and play adaptor but they no longer sell it.

With the parts listed above, anyone have a wiring guide? I'm also installing LED taillights lights alongside the trunk in the future so I want to be sure I get it right!

I have a Vorsteiner trunk on my M3 right now and ive had it for many years but its time to get an OE CSL one and sell the Vorst one.

already ordered one with the CSL lid liner too. No idea when it’ll get here from BMW Germany due to the current situation.

Curious of this too. I like the more traditional csl handless style of the SGT version

I’m not too picky with the handle, as long as it looks good and fits well without too much modification. ECS has one for ~700 which according to them accepts all OEM lighting and harness and has the slits for the trunk handle. Cheapest option for SGT is almost 900 with the lighting kit included. Past 1000 for single sided CF.

To the OP, two companies that do great work and worth inquiring into would be Mile End Composites and Karbonius. Neither make a CSL trunk but worth asking the question of their future plans.

I spoke with Mile End Composites a while back and he told me he had plans to design a CSL trunk. Not sure what the status is, but worth following up and asking. The quality of his other products matches or arguably exceeds OEM.

Anyone have any recommendations for convertible CSL trunks? ECS and Status Gruppe have their own but SGT has already proven to be unreliable with their products.

Curious of this too. I like the more traditional csl handless style of the SGT version
