Understood, sometimes you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

I dont get what you are implying? I know how to put a diffuser on, but I cant help it when I get POS ones that dont have enough material to look like it supposed to fit the car....?Originally posted by Mystic3 View PostYou own an e46 m3, you are either mechanically inclined, a craftsman, or you can afford to pay someone to do the work. Again no idea what being mechanically inclined, a craftsman or having money has to with me trying to find a legit fitting part but ok

I know Im beating a dead horse... but got some updates...
After putting a burkhart one in my cart, It only showed a total of $402 shipped to US
2nd, I reached out to happybuyitnow168 and shared my concern with his paint and fitment and he replied with pictures and confirmation of fitment. I sent him a few pictures of where the paint line should be and asked if he could make adjustments. Waiting to hear back but here is his reply and pictures he sent.
and lastly, Mile End got back to me... and they wont be making them anymore it seems. Here is the email response.
Im sure none of this is "news" to anyone, and I apologize in advance if Ive been annoying with stalking this forum trying to find a diffuser.
I have a lead on a carbon un painted mile end for a high price tag, but after the headache this has been. I honestly am loosing faith

Wow that shipping cost is nuts. Still, if its a piece they make or source from Germany, looks like it's worth it.Originally posted by ej257 View Post
From my email inquiry:
Sales to the US won't include the 19% VAT (So -19% from their 299, approx. 242€) + 199€ Shipping. He said shipping costs right now are crazy.
Converted, it comes out to approx to $284 + $233 = ~$517, + whatever customs may include as local sales tax. Comes out to be on par with other diffusers offered...

I couldn't agree more. As if they are using the same stock photos used across the internet. Slowly settling in that I am either getting a sub par fitting diffuser, paying a ridiculous amount, or staying stock... 😔 i don't really understand why the aftermarket world for BMW is so ridiculous. If this was a Japanese car, I bet we'd all have a diffuser by nowOriginally posted by antknee View Postis it just me or do all of these replica manufacturers look all the same, with the exception of milesend & OE? I can't differentiate between them, aside from where the paint lines are.

Another option from Burkhart, probably what I will try since all the other good brands are out.
Carbon Diffusor CSL Look E46 M3 BMW » Burkhart Engineering (burkhart-engineering.com)

I plan to paint steel grey as well. Would love to have one by summer. I'm ready to buy. Eager to find the one

Nice, just what I wanted to hear.Originally posted by Andy2424 View Post
Is plug and play, just like the original and everything is carbon.
Taxes are inclusive, unfortunately I don't know because of customs. Unfortunately, when I buy in America I have to pay customs.
I can ask Johannes how the transport to US is going and whether it makes a good price?

no, the painting goes very well, I painted it steel gray, it's perfect. I take better photos.Originally posted by 180SXTCY View PostThink you can but id imagine you'd still see the carbon weave through the paint. I just want something simple that fits good.
