mtpktz I agree 100%. 30% off during the month of May when most vendors don't have any real sales is golden! I would jump in this group buy fast. Some of these parts may not be available by the time black friday comes around.

Here's an example. For as long as I can remember, catted SS pipes were over $3k (3.2 iirc). Now, retail is $22xx-2300. So now take 25% off 2200 = ~$1650.

This is basically 50% off the old pricing (from pre 2017 or 18, can't remember).
Let me preface my post with I really appreciate what Epoustouflant is doing for the community and acknowledge all the time and effort that he's put into it.

With regard to the post I quoted - based on the link that's still available for the GB from 2017, the retail prices listed back then are relatively similar to what they are now in addition to the fact that the discount on many of the pieces ranged on average 32-35%. Please see the link below.

However, if 30% is what we're receiving on all pieces in this GB, that is enough for me to commit to purchasing now.

Thank you again to Epoustouflant for all of your time and effort in putting not just this GB together, but others as well.

There will always be members who harken back to the days of bigger discounts. "Well once they did 50% off on black Friday!!" They're welcome to continue waiting around, and extra brownie points if the whining stops.

Anyone who is a serious buyer will probably have been tracking SS component prices and the big discounts ain't happening. They also vary depending on the component. For example, I've seen bigger discounting a section 1 as compared to the full v1's.

I can’t speak to their intentions - from a business perspective, you may as well discount the product line year long if you’ll do that.

ECS’ shipping prices on the GB will be much lower than anything Schmiedmann offers.
Yes, I honestly do. They have had Supersprint Black Friday sales, I wanna say for the past 5 years. Also it’s not unheard of for a spring 25% off sale as well.

Are you confirming it’s 30% off? I mean every little bit helps.

Also if Schmiedmann offers 25% off their already low prices then, yes I would think it would be cheaper then this group buy. I can not say for sure if they do or do not offer that discount during Black Friday. I thought it was more a SuperSprint discount rather than a retailer discount.

I just went through my old emails and Turner which is ECS had 25% off m3 e46 Supersprint products. So I mean, if someone that was looking to buy right now and doesn’t want to wait until Black Friday then this gb works. For anyone that has to save up some money or isn’t ready to buy now right now then the opportunity will come back around on Black Friday.

I don’t know what route I am going to take right now. If it was 35-40% it would be a no brainer but at 25% off the Black Friday sale will help anyone not able to buy now.

Only thing I don’t know is if Schmiedmann also offers the 25% off during Black Friday. Even though Schmiedmann charges duty and shipping their prices are lower then ECS.

Schmiedmann ships from Europe - you will be charged duties and higher shipping charges.

Let’s compare Apples to Apples here.

Pretty much why I keep cats. Unless you trailer your car to the track and it only sees track use, not worth it.

So in an effort to keep the project costs down, is it feasible to remove the stock cats from the headers and install them on the stock section 1? Yes, I understand it would require someone with fabrication and welding skill since not only would section 1 need to be shortened to accommodate the headers, but also ports for the O2 sensors and cats. Just wondering if someone has attempted this and if it's a feasible option. Thanks...
You don't want to do that. Even if you forget the fact that the factory vs. Ssv1 diameters are quite different and mangled the cats into postion on the SS sec. 1 you would be robbing your new found power with low flow cats.
Ssv1 and Ss Sec. 1 w/ HJS high flow cats is the only way to go.

This GB will be great, more members with arguably the best headers for our vehicles. I want to give the race muffler a try and see how much louder it is than my SCZA, happy neighbors..

I remember Chase got them to do something similar. I asked them to make a resonated section 1 that will fit SSV1. I'm trying to pass sound for Laguna. Supersprint then ask that I go through ECS for the ordering though. I have the part number from SS, but ECS is having a difficult time getting details to lock down the order details.

You can’t even get used SS parts for 50% so I don’t expect that level of sale, especially when they are in high demands. I’d be very happy with 30% off. Let’s get rolling as soon as we can so I don’t go spending my money elsewhere.
