    Yeah, the piece is floating for both aftermarket AND OEM from the factory CSL.

    Dream spec for an E46, congrats on the work. When do you get it back?

    generally speaking: it’s always bothered me when aftermarket intakes on the E46 platform is used and that plastic snorkel piece (center above rad) is just kinda, floating there. It seems so out of place.

    Correct. There are no OEM LED options for the sedans/tourings, sadly. You can find aftermarket versions of varying quality, but only the coupes had OEM LED tails.

    Looks amazing. If you are doing the flap mod to the dme and it’ll be a working flap, all good. If I had to do it again I would go CF snorkel and put a nice mesh screen on the front for better filtration and be down with it.

    The seats are great, I can’t lie

    I did everything except the flex pipe. I found the same thing, they’re NLA and don’t really pop up for sale often. The intake is pretty quiet even without the flex pipe, and it can be easily installed later after removing the fender liner, so you should be just fine running without it.
