Individual E46 M3 Vlog and build journal

Hey all, I’ve started a YouTube channel dedicated to my E46 M3 along with some lifestyle content. I invite you all on my journey to turning my old BMW into a future CSL OEM+ Clone and hopefully a future Legends of the Autobahn winner (modified class).

Here’s my most recent vlog. I’ll be sharing my opinion on mods as well as comparisons between other builds.

Update: new video regarding my entire build journal. It was easier to make an 8 minute video with pictures than writing it all out. Pretty much my OEM+ build thus far. (Still not finished)

New Video: some great POV driving in the Malibu Canyons with CSL intake manifold noise. Would love to hear some feedback on how I could improve the content!

New Episode, took my car to Import Expo. Nearly didn’t make it because my Karbonious CSL interior took me to literally the last minute before getting finished. But it looks so good, and had some custom Karbonious work with retaining the rear speakers. Enjoy. Please like and subscribe I try to get these vlogs out around once a week.

Any way to move this to the build threads section?

Finally got to installing a Sunbeam Section 1 to pair with their section 3. It’s completely changed the way this exhaust sounded. Am I the only person on the forums running Sunbeam? There’s quite a few on Instagram that post about it but I have yet to find anyone else on here… anyway the exhaust setup is CSL Headers, Sunbeam Section 1, Stock section 2, & Sunbeam Section 3. May still need to add a resonator to section 2 to eliminate the last little bit of drone, but I know Sunbeam is currently developing a section 2 as well to address these issues. Should I wait for sunbeam or weld a resonator onto my section 2?

Took the E46 M3 up for Car Week recently and displayed the car at Legends of the Autobahn. Ran into some odd issues that didn’t resurface leaving me confused.

After installing some mods on the M3 it’s about time I discussed them.

This E46 M3 Build is Starting to Come Together!!! Leaving Car Week 2026

Before going to Car Week I decided on replacing my rear main seal as there had been oil leaking for awhile. Decided to take care of a couple while you’re in there maintenance & mods.

Parts Sourced from Euro Connex (Matt is great to work with)
                          - YFCM V3 Carbon Driveshaft 12lbs (OEM 21.6lbs)
                          - S54 OE+ TTV Single Mass Flywheel 11.6lbs (OEM 24.2lbs)

                          FCP Euro
                          - rear main seal kit
                          - input & output shaft seals
                          - some other various seals

Benefit statistically is 30lb reduction in rotational mass. This in theory helps the engine spin more freely in both directions. Shifting between gears should feel smoother & faster. Throttle should become a bit more sensitive.

I put on about 1300 miles to and from Car Week before driving it remotely hard to let the clutch break in. I’ve take the car through some canyons, done a couple launches, etc. I can definitely notice slight improvements in everything I mentioned above. Nothing out of this world, but enhancements which does make the car feel a bit more alive.

I was a bit worried about the flywheel chatter, while I do notice it at stoplights it doesn’t bother me much. As far as I see, I have yet to find any negatives to doing this outside of the price. There’s definitely better mods for the money spent, but it’s a small touch I can notice in the way the car drives.
