E30 Touring With an S52

Since the sale of my E46 M, I have recently acquired an 89 E30 touring! It's got an S52/ZF 5 speed in it, both which have been rebuilt and have ~4500 miles on them. The car was restored in 2008 and it seems as if everything was gone over. It's got Supersprint headers + muffler, 16" AZEV wheels with a Wilwood BBK, BC Racing coilovers, SSK, and an LSD.

Comparing it to my E46 is like comparing apples to oranges. However, the s52 powering this thing makes it no slouch. It's nimble, and the power to weight really makes it a fun drive (besides the BC coilovers turning my pelvis to dust). While the E46 M3 is still my favorite, I'll purchase another when the time is right. Until then, I feel like this will keep me pretty satisfied.

This is the swap I'd like to do to mine when I have time and space to do it. I already have S52s lying around to drop into the car. The 2.0L 6 is fun but man is it slow.

It’s definitely a fun swap, I love any 24 valve in an e30. Funny enough this wagon is actually for sale, the guy who bought it off me has it listed on Facebook

Quick question for you (tried to DM but didn't work),

Have a chance to snag some Azev's but worry the wheels won't clear the brakes. Are those M calipers or just standard E30 size Willwoods? (315mm brakes?)

My worry is 16" Azev's I'm snagging wont clear the brake calipers as I swapped 5 lug hub and brakes from an E36 M3 but have been told they will given the offset (??)

Would appreciate any feedback/advice , Great looking cars btw!
