the Vorsteiner hood is purchased, the price was 3000 €

Its a Vorsteiner one Dan.

And there are people on the US forums that have weighed them and say they are heavier than stock.

Regardless Vorsteiner quote 18lbs saving for the double sided carbon version and 13lbs saving for the single carbon version.

Maybe el buta can tell us if he weighed his.

Thanks guy's, if there was a significant saving to be had then I would say it's worth it, price dependent of course, but heavier than stock is just a waste of money! :bigcry:

I do know someone who does superb CF work and has full on degree's in aerodynamics etc, he's a very competant guy so might approach him for some work, leave the engine alone and save weight, much better IMO
