    AWESOME DRIVING ROADS

Thought we could start a thread, on some great driving roads you guys have come across. In our TRI- State area
Either scenic, twisty or straight, everything will be appreciated.

I usually head out to Bear MT and find decent stuff there.
As I am In Queens NY, usually head out to Long Island for a nicer drive

Around the Poconos in Pa there is some pretty good roads. Long pond road is the one I can think of. Was cruising around there with a buddy and we ended up at the Francis E Walter Dam. That was pretty cool.

It's on the other side of the Bear Mtn, Whats nice is it's 2 lanes wide and a lot less traffic

Seven Lakes Dr around Bear Mountain. Best during Christmas morning and Thanksgiving morning.

Calverton is a good place to go if you are from queens and want to avoid tolls

Whiskey Rd west of calverton is a good place to start then travel East, after your done playing around throughout Calverton it’s nice to drive East on the Northfork. Sound Ave is scenic for Long Island standards and there’s an empty two lane freeway out there. Also William Floyd Parkway is always empty north and sound of the LIE.

Just discovered for myself Kanawauke road in Bear Mt. Very twisty, you’re in 2-3 gear the whole time. Will have to try the other suggestions. I have the same problem being in Brooklyn

This. I'm in the Hudson Valley -- there is a varied loop where I live that is amazing. Orrs Mills, Pleasant Hill, Otterkill, Pea Hill, Taylor. The view of the Moodna Viaduct from Orrs Mills is one of the best in America. You drive under the trestle on Otterkill as well and climb a hill that has sweeping views of Schunemunk Mountain and rolling pastures.
