    Front or rear tire?

    Either way, that isn't abnormal.

Same situation here, but the 5mm still leaves enough hub lip if you have aftermarket wheels with a smaller inside bore chamfer. Stock wheels' chamfer is larger and you gotta go to 3mm.

Mine are doing the exact same thing. Doesn't seem to affect driving much... yet

But a 255/40R17 it probably right on the edge, should be OK. I tried a 245/40R17 and it was too small.
    Thanks.

Heinz - Ah. I get it.

Oh I meant specifically for the RE71RS. Wanted to try that tire out and 255/40 was the only adequate option for a 17" wheel.

    255/40R17?

Pricing looks pretty good at that size. Any issues around the reduction in circumference from the more customary sizes? What tires are you using?

Thanks. Not a ton of options, but quite a few. NT01, RE71RS, Continental, RA1, R1R, R888R, RS4, RT660, RT615K, V730, AD09, A052, A055, Proxes RR and R, BFG, . NT01 and RE71RS seem to be the cream of the crop, but I hear okay stuff about many of the others as well.

I doubt I am a good enough driver to notice a big difference between a 275 and a 255, and the 255's are cheaper. Might be the way for me to go.

RE71RS. Unfortunately not a ton of options for those at 17, so yep running 255/40R17. TPMS notices pretty much immediately and the beep always freaks me out, but other than that no issues.

Style 513M? That's what I originally wanted as track wheels after seeing your car on them, but unfortunately harder to find these days. Especially compared to ARC8s

I'm running 17x9.5" ET35 + 7.5mm spacer up front and 17x10" ET25 in the rear. Clears just barely up front, but there's tons of room in the rear.
