My buddy has a bone stock engine and fuel system. He can run down to .5 gallon on track. Maybe a fresh OE fuel pump and sucking jet pump will work?

Good to hear, can you post some pics of the install?

Keep in mind WRL cars are sometimes going to cells to increase their fuel capacity or increase their refueling speeds, not just to run it to empty.

With a stock tank the surge tank is likely your best happy medium. I know you've already solved the issue just relaying some additional info.

The dual pump setup won't help for shit if the stock pickup isn't doing it's job properly. Change that filter/sock out for a new one. Your issues may be resolved for $10.

Is there a part number for the sock?

I have a radium bosch conversion and it goes down to about 10l and then I'll get starvation on long fast right handers. One track I go over a steep hill and into a right hand 180 and I will fuel starve there as well.

I was still pushing and never had a fuel cut. This was the level as I came off track and rolled it right onto the trailer.

Fueling issues; Surge tank or fuel cell?

Tired of having fueling issues on track on my e46 m3. Already have two internal pumps inside the oem tank. Does help but its not a total fix.. Thinking of taking the next step and installing a surge tank or maybe a fuel cell as i dont drive my car on the street. It is more race car than street car. For those of you who have fuel cells or surge tanks, please chime in and specify the brand/model you recommend.
    thanks!
Working...
