    Gutting Doors

On my track-only E46 M3 coupe, I have already gutted interior and the next project is the doors. Planning to remove door cards, window regulators and glass. Leaving crash bar as not full cage (yet). My question is about removing wires and electronic door lock modules (if there are any). I already removed the wireless module from the C pillar, so the key fob buttons do nothing. If I lock the driver door with the key, the passenger door locks electronically. If no window glass, I don't have to worry about locking and unlocking. What is the max electronics including wires I can remove from doors. I have not decided yet about the side view mirror question.

You can remove the entire harness in the door if you're willing to lose electronic mirror adjustments.

Okay, I might be willing to ditch electronic adjustment for weight loss.
I noticed that bigjae46 moved to completely different sideview mirrors. Did you try to stick with stock at all? I am sharing my car with my nephew and we have slightly different seat postions and mirror postions. Can the stock mirror postions be changed "manually?" Kind of suck if a 2 person job.

I went with ebay mirrors to save the weight. I don't use the sideview mirrors on track, only in the paddock. On the street it would be slightly annoying but that's the trade off.
