    MK60 Brake Pressure Data

I have been working on my braking and really needed some data to assess where I can improve. There are options to pipe in a bung for a brake pressure sender but GSR has a DIY to tap into the existing OE brake pressure sensors.

First, you must use an AiM Solo 2 DL and RaceStudio3. A Solo DL doesn't have the programming capability built into RaceStudio2. Just create a custom sensor, add it to the channels, connect the ACC2 to the AiM Solo 2DL, read the SN, and then transmit the profile.

You have to tap between the sensor and MK60 unit. I removed the ECU box and then it is relatively easy. Might be able to do it without removing the box but looked like a pain in the ass. I bought a 719 patch cable from Pegasus. It is the white wire. I originally tested the pins and use the blue wire...use the white wire.

At this point, I would test it. Create a display with the custom sensor, step on the brake and you should get a reading.

I can say that this data will be extremely valuable in getting better on the brakes. I've been overlaying the brake pressure and steering angle. You can see how deep you really are trail braking.

Not sure a novice or intermediate driver really needs to dive into brake pressure but I think this will be great for advanced drivers trying to hone their braking skills. I think braking is the most difficult skill to master...it has been for me.

I made a y harness adapter that plugs into the brake pressure sensor, and I got it to work on my Aim Evo 4.
I think that is better than using one of those awful scotch loc wire taps on the brittle wires. I guess tapping into the main Mk60 harness would work too, but I wasn't able to figure out where to get extra pins.
I started a write up, and I'll post it up what I have later this week.
