    RE-71RZ Fitment

Anyone running these yet? I ran 275/35/18 Re-71RS and rubbed slightly on the inner fender in rear (-2.0 camber on 18x10 et25). Trying to decide between 275 and 265, I’ve heard anecdotally that they run wide. TIA

All the 200tw tires run way wider besides rs4 it seems like and toyos. It's fucking stupid. If you are having clearance issue, the 265 will help. I think that'd be fine on a x10.

As I understand it, 265 on 10" even 10.5" is the hot ticket on track.

No experience with these tires but I'd run the 265. Will likely avoid the rubbing and you won't sacrifice any noticeable grip. I prefer a bit of stretch for a track setup, feels more crisp to me. I believe tire rack did some great testing to show this as well, if you are curious.

You cannot always rely on the "size" to determine optimal fitment. If you check Tire Rack they have both the tread and section widths for most every tire they sell. It is surprising how much size variance there is among tires of the same "size."

The 275/35R18 RE-71RZ has a 10" tread width and a 10.9" section width. The 265/35R18 had a 9.5" tread width and a 10.7" section width. With regards to section width, these are both pretty true to the stated size.

FWIW, my track wheels are also 18x10 ET25, and the 265/35R18 R-S4's I run are 9.5" and 11". No rubbing in the rear at -2.0 camber and 13.25" ride height.

I would not use a tire with a tread width greater than my rim width. My .02

            Old, not obsolete.
