Early '01 M3... Good track car candidate or not?

I personally would not go down the road of custom ABS unless you're trying to solve the serious issue. Anyway, I run a MK20 2001 M3 as a track car and have set some very fast laps with just tires and suspension.

Awesome, yea I'm glad to hear that it's not a bad candidate for what I want. Sounds like it works for you! What's a good brake setup for a car like yours? Sounds like what I am hoping to achieve myself. I was gonna just start with PFC pads and stock or at least stock size rotors, send it for a bit and reevaluate. I have 08s and Direct Drive rotors on my E36, with a tire like the RS4 or AD08R I never felt the setup was inadequate. Can I expect something similar from the E46? Or do you really need to go with a BBK of some sort, home brewed or otherwise?
