Up for sale is my 2005 Mystic Blue slicktop M3. This was originally meant to be a forever car but it’s time for someone to enjoy this clean and sorted M3.
A little background in the interest of full disclosure:
You may have seen this car on my IG with an S65 in it.
The original plan was to build a CA-legal swapped street car but it turned out that's just not achievable. At the same time I had no interest in building a track-only car on such a clean/original example, not to mention all that it involves (truck, trailer, storage) so I scrapped those plans and decided to restore the car back to factory fresh OE+. Since I had sold the original engine and many used engines have questionable history and/or high miles, I purchased a complete running accident-free M3 with just 80k miles and parted it out to help restore this car (!)
The car had been non-op and in storage since 2016, so I went through it with a fine tooth comb and completed a comprehensive overhaul/refresh to get it back on the road and registered.

Misc. notes and observations:
Rod journals in perfect condition, bearings have nice even clearance (plastigauged)
Cam lobes in excellent condition showing no wear
No gunk or build up in the head whatsoever (regular OCIs)
Great, even and consistent compression numbers
Vanos procedure incl. ultrasonic cleaning and flushing of all components
No cracks or pulled spot welds whatsoever on chassis prior to welding reinforcements
Reinforcement plates coated inside and out with weld-thru primer and 3M undercoating
No rattle on startup whatsoever even after sitting for an extended period of time
You will not find a single missing clip or screw anywhere on the car
Has a stealth V1 integrated radar detector
Has a newer genuine 6MT steering wheel (nice textured leather and no paddle shift holes)
All exterior rubber and weather seals are original and in excellent condition
Instrument cluster needles nice and amber (no sun exposure)
Rearview mirror in excellent condition (same)
Front fender liners still have the original brake duct block off covers
Factory alarm retrofit
Factory hands-free bluetooth retrofit
Just smogged and registered
Cons:
Headliner sagging
Tires old / aged out
Minor overall wear commensurate with age and mileage
