For Sale: APE Flex Fuel Kit [SOLD]

For Sale: is my APE Flex Fuel kit that was purchased late last year and has less than 700 miles. I have only partially filled up with ethanol a couple times since installing and you really do feel the power gains!

The kit is a breeze to install, and engine temperatures will run 10-15 degrees cooler than running on gasoline. Power gains are around 10-15whp increase. I would allow for roughly 30-45 min install time. Once installed you can download the APE app from the IOS or Android store and connect via Bluetooth to the APE module to view ethanol blend, duty cycle, pulse width, and fuel temp. Overall it's a pretty neat kit, once installed, you would never know that the car is equipped with the kit.

Hopefully it finds a good home! I'm happy to ship, otherwise local pickup is available: Los Angeles, CA.

I Paid $801.33 shipped (incl. CA Sales Tax). SOLD!

I've been considering this specific setup. It sounds like it's all upside. Curious, why would you sell this kit?

For me it just doesn’t get used. I drive the car so few miles it’s ridiculous and I never end up making it to ethanol pump. The power gains are super nice, but I’ve only taken advantage of it a couple times since installing.

Does this replace the hose that goes from the fuel fitting behind the intake? And do you need a tune do use it?

No tune required, it adjusts fuel injector pulses based on ethanol content measured in the fuel. This replaces the hose that connects from the fuel filter to the bottom of the transmission. It's a 10min replacement for the hose.

If you do have an aftermarket tune would this product still be compatible as it is with the factory tune? Are there the same gains to be had? Or more ore less?

Yes, it’s essentially 104 or 105 octane so yes around 10-12whp depending on setup. I ran mine with my aftermarket tune.

The Buildjournal team posted they're gains using the APE kit. See below:

Also I saw the post about the hose, the connectors look like injector connectors. Where do u plug the harness into
Is this the generic 3 Series bmw one or the one they made specific for m3. Do u have a part number for it?
