I am looking to trade a Supersprint Sport Gen 2 Sport muffler for a Supersprint Race Muffler. The Sport Muffler has approximately 800 miles on it.

The quality of the Supersprint stuff is next level, but I now drive the car to the track (an hour) and drive home. It sees no other street time. In the car, with all of the sound deadening removed and everything stripped out except for the dash, center console, and seats, it is almost the exact same decibel level as the stock system. On the track, it is not assaulting, so when I do have an instructor in the vehicle I can communicate with them fairly clearly even though the car is between 4,000-8,000 RPM for the entire run. I think there are two good options if you want that increased sound but not drive around in a car that annoys you. I could see going to an unresonated section 2 with a sport muffler to open up the sound levels more, or converting to the race exhaust with a resonated section 2. I have no data or video to support this, but I feel like this might create a healthy medium within the SS family. The reality is that I need to shed more weight from the car, which is clearly going the BW exhaust route, but the sound is so bruising (both on and off the track) and requires some bumper mods (it may just be the diffuser section?) that it makes me want to transition slowly, hence I can switch to SS Race for some weight shedding without starting over from scratch.
I would categorize the SS street muffler as polite. 1 out of 2 people will turn their head to see the cool sounding car that passes by haha. It is really perfect if you want to change the tone of the car without blasting your ears into oblivion or pissing off the neighbors. If my car was only driven on the street, I would buy my current setup 10/10 times. I hope that makes some sense. There are Youtube videos of various setups but sound is largely subjective and videos, IMHO, don't do the tone and decibal levels justice.
