    WTB: hardtop for convertible

Half looking and half curious on pricing. I’ve thought about buying a hardtop for my vert for winter, but have no clue on actual cost.

Going price seems to be around $2500 and you'll need a hardware kit that is NLA to install it if your car has never had a hardtop installed before. Not really worth it IMO since it adds even more weight to an M3 that is a bit overweight.

It really depends on which coast you’re in and what the climates like. A lot of verts here in NY rock out with the hardtops year round bc their soft tops don’t work and they don’t feel like sinking money into repairing it. It’s kinda pointless if you ask me, just buy a coupe.

Going rate is closer to $3k for a nice one nowadays. My company (Midwest Euro Parts LLC) has one for sale but it is in need of some work both inside and out. It is TiAg in color. Asking $1800. Shoot me a message if interested.

Hard top itself on the M3 is only 27.3 kg or 60lbs. I love having a hardtop for purely aesthetic reasons since it makes for a nice change in appearance during the winter months. If you are socal or south west then obviously weather isn't really a factor.

Here's a hard top for sale on CL. Looks like it's up North.
I got bmw e46 m3 hardtop for sale, my brothers m3 convertible is replaced by coupe so don’t need this one anymore. There’s one scratch on the top and headliner got some sagging pictured. Feel free...

I appreciate the input and will reprice accordingly based on interest. However, I have sold 3 E46 hardtops this year alone and believe this one is worth what I am asking for it to someone. Most people repaint anyway to the color of their car, and the headliner is an issue any auto upholstery shop can fix for a few hundred bucks.
