Nothing new, you just haven't noticed. As LVMESM46 stated they were a great inexpensive option, but like everything the prices for them are going up and they are getting harder to find. With scrap values of catalytic converters through the roof the euro guys are becoming less inclined to ship headers across the ocean which only adds to the fun trying to locate a set.

Well unless you’re hell bent on getting euro headers, you should buy a set of active autowerke headers. I bought mine from vivid racing for like $627 shipped. Perfect fitment.

It came with the victor R gaskets for the head, idk what brand the lower 2 gaskets were. I already had some oem head gaskets laying around so I used those instead.

is there some sort of concern with AA supplied gaskets?

No concerns that I’ve heard of. I would just recommend OEM gaskets and hardware for a header install.

Can’t go wrong with these as they’re an exact copy of CSL headers anyway.

From what I can tell when comparing photos, Elring appears to be the OE gaskets. Victor Reinz design is very similiar and they usually make quality replacement parts.

I thought I remember hearing there were some quality issues with Active Autowerks. Maybe it was fitment issues. Bu ti Guess for the price its worth the try.

And to add to that, I actually like the sounds change after I switched from euro headers to AA headers. With euro headers, there was alot of sub 4k rpm rasp, now with the AA, it has almost completely eliminated that. Higher than 4k, idk. I’m still in my engine break in cycle so I haven’t gone past 4k yet.
