I recently picked up a ZHP. It came with this steering wheel and I swapped it out for a leather M3 steering wheel. In my opinion, the Alcantara needs refinished. I cleaned it because it was pretty nasty. Seems like it cleaned up nicely but the Alcantara is in poor shape with lots of pilling, fuzziness, and even chunks missing near the top. I had an email back-and-forth with Coby wheels and they said this wheel could be recovered. But, full disclosure, they would not except it as a core because of the poor condition of the Alcantara. But, they said it could be sent in and returned recovered.
all of the buttons work and the trim is in decent shape. As you can see from the pictures, there are some nicks at the base of the trim. I know the person who owned this car and his wife drove it. I suspect those are from rings or jewelry on her fingers. It’s not chipped down to the white underneath and looks OK at a glance or from a distance. If you’re a perfectionist you may not care for this.
