    WTB: Technic harness

Hi everyone, Looking for a Technic harness so I can upgrade my sound system and not touch the factory speaker wires. One just popped up and sold very quickly. I reached out to TechnicPnP and they said they no longer sell these harnesses, plus it so difficult to get a hold of them. Let me know if anyone has one.

    Thanks,

    Isaac

The 6 or 7 channel 676 harnesses that they sale use the same 42 pin connector as the E46. Additionally, the wiring is compatible, you just need to add some extra pins for the extra speakers in the E46. (At least, that's the case with the HiFi system. Not sure how the HK sub gets its input...) I bought one of those with the intention to just add the pins I needed. However, if I was doing it again, I would just buy the connector and pins off of eBay and make my own.

FYI: the connector on my TechnicPnp harness is a Chinese copy of the OEM connector.

Thanks I also have the Hi-Fi system and also have a separate Bavsound Subwoofer powered by its own amp so no need for that. Just want to amplify the interior Bavsound speakers using a JL or AudioControl amplifier and not splice or modify the factory wiring. Will the other 676 harness work fine?

Would the harness for the E9X Hi-Fi 676 systems work?

Sort of. The 7ch HIFI (676)/HK(674) harness will allow you to break out nearly all of the wires from the trunk amp connector, however it lacks the speaker wires for the right front mid, right rear woofer, and left rear woofer. You could wire the rear woofers directly to an amp in the trunk pretty easily, but you'll have to find an extra pin to install in the harness if you want to wire the right front mid up cleanly.

I think I have my brand new one sitting somewhere. Never got round to using it and lost interest after that. I'll check and message you.
